A.M.S. Gladstone will be working in the Webb Dock Project in Melbourne

News

A.M.S. Tugs and Barges is pleased to announce that we have recently secured a new charter agreement for our 210ft x 70ft x 14ft Deck Cargo Ballast Tank Spud Barge - A.M.S. GLADSTONE. A.M.S. GLADSTONE will shortly be mobilised from Snail Bay, Sydney to the port of Melbourne, to provide services as a crane barge on the Webb Dock project.

Our good client were specifically looking for a barge with high deck-strength fitted with a suitable crane matt in order to position a 400T crane on the barge. And to further assist their work scope, the barge needs to be ballastable and equipped with 4 point mooring system, which further enhances her stability during crane operation. A.M.S. GLADSTONE was able to fulfil all the client’s requirement, thus a perfect candidate for the project. Once again, A.M.S. vessels proved to be a perfect candidate in construction support work, adding another Australian landmark project to their proven track records around the whole Australia. A.M.S. GLADSTONE is due to arrive on work site in Melbourne by mid October.
