ECHO OF SUCCESS - A.M.S. 1201 - 35m Construction Dumb Barge is coming to Australia

News

A.M.S. 1201 -35m Construction Dumb Barge is set to be delivered to Australia in July 2011 following numerous interests and enquiries received for the barge while currently located in Singapore.

Australia Marine Services Pty Ltd- A.M.S. Tugs & Barges has made a firm decision to mobilise the barge to Australian water as an act of the company’s commitment to provide the best service possible to their clients in the Australian market.

A.M.S. 1201 launched earlier this year (8th March 2011), is designed and build to Australian standard with A.M.S. Melbourne; her successful sister vessel as blueprint for her built. A.M.S. Melbourne is currently committed to a long-term charter after a successful 2 years charter with Baulderstone, servicing the Port Botany Expansion project in NSW.

A.M.S. 1201 is built based on the experiences and feedback received from clients of A.M.S. Melbourne; and therefore has additional equipment on deck such as Ramp Door, stanchions and handrail installed while maintaining its capabilities of cargo deadweight; 1300 tonnes and deckloading ; 15 t/m2 . Her design and capabilities is most suitable for heavy equipment transport, RORO operations as well as acting as a crane barge as proven before with A.M.S. Melbourne.

As AMS foresee the barge to be committed before arriving into Australia, the company is already planning to build a third unit; 35m construction dumb barge. With an already proven design, AMS will ensure that the third unit will be built to the high quality of A.M.S. 1201 and A.M.S. Melbourne, if not better.

Not forget to mention that AMS is also expecting their 2 units of 300ft Deck Cargo Barge – A.M.S. 3001 and A.M.S 3002 currently under construction to be ready next month; July 2011. A.M.S. 3001 and A.M.S. 3002 have been generating interests in the South East Asia market and believe that the Australian market will response promptly the same way for the barges as they are designed and built with Australian operations in mind. A.M.S. 3001 and A.M.S. 3002 has deckloading capabilities of 10 t/m2 and deadweight capabilities of approx. 7800 tonnes

Enquires and offer to charter A.M.S. 1201 are most welcome and AMS wish to stress that “first come, first serve” rules applies as such deal does not come very often for a high spec’d barge like A.M.S. 1201.
