A.M.S. ORION recently completed her 5 year BV class renewal/special survey during dry-dock in Gladstone, Qld, and refloated towards the end of April, 2016.
During her dry-dock the Damen built Stan tug (1606), along with all the required classification surveys, inspections and maintenance conducted, had her hull high pressure cleaned and grit-blasted prior to a new anti-foul coating being applied. Topside areas were similarly prepared and re-painted.
After her refloat, the A.M.S. ORION completed extensive sea-trials to the satisfaction of the attending surveyor, with no conditions of class being noted during her survey.
A.M.S. ORION now has a ‘fresh start’ and begins a new cycle with BV class; she is available for charter ex-Gladstone, QLD.
